Dean Ferguson is founder and managing director of mergers & acquisitions at Ferguson White. He has in excess of 20 years’ direct experience in mergers & acquisition transactions at the highest level. He has worked on and closed hundreds of mergers & acquisitions transactions ranging from 100% sales to recapitalizations, minority investments, growth capital investments, ESOPS and business division divestitures.

Dean has sold companies in arguably every industry including healthcare, automotive, business services, manufacturing, food, industrial and oil & gas. He has worked on a multitude of United States and Canada based transactions as well as global transactions involving internationally based acquirers. Dean believes the key to being successful in closing a variety of industry transactions is being able to bring the high volume of qualified buyers to the table required to result in multiple offers. Multiple offers maximize the seller’s sale price and provides leverage in the form of backup buyers to keep the primary buyer focused on closing resulting in an efficient close.

Prior to establishing Ferguson White, Dean was a senior investment banker with Citigroup in their Capital Strategies Division, headquartered in NY, wherein he focused on middle market transactions in a variety of industries. Citi Capital Strategies provides investment banking and financial advisory services focusing on middle market institutional clients with enterprise size between $20 million and $200 million. The firm offers corporate divestitures, recapitalizations, ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownershipciticapstrategylogo Plans), and capital solutions. Additionally, it provides mergers and acquisitions advisory, due diligence, pre-liquidity planning, and strategic consulting services. CCS caters to aerospace and defense, consumer products, energy, finance, healthcare, and technology sectors. Its clientele includes Supercolor Digital, InforTrends, Eureka Growth Capital, Homerwood, Applied Energy System Inc., and Roark Capital Group.

Dean has a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.

Dean is series 63 and 7 licensed.

David has spent his entire life in the Permian and has over 20 years experience with oil field service companies that includes both operations and transactions. Operationally,  David has worked in areas of executive level responsibility and accountability. He has overseen financial, operations, personnel and equipment functions and developed and executed operational strategic plans for oil and gas field service companies in both strong and weak oil price cycles.  Most recently David served as Executive Vice President of Madron Enterprises, an oilfield service company providing roustabout, excavation and surveying services in the Permian.

David has been involved in oilfield M&A transactions both as an advisor as well as a member of the selling company’s management team. He has extensive experience with preparing an oilfield service company for the selling process as well as the execution of the steps in the M&A process to secure the best buyer for the seller in terms of strategic and management team fit.

Throughout his career, David has shown a passion for relationship building and helping others. Having lived in the Permian Basin his entire life, David has an extensive knowledge of the people and businesses in the oil patch.

Originally from Roswell, New Mexico, David is a graduate of Goddard High School and Lubbock Christian.

Ron Ferguson is a partner and managing director of mergers & acquisitions at Ferguson White. He is a CPA and CA (Chartered Accountant – Canadian Accounting Designation) and a long standing member in good standing of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Ron has in excess of 40 years’ corporate accounting, public accounting, tax accounting, and financial experience and has worked with hundreds of entities both for profit and non profit. His expertise in corporate financial analysis, profitability analyses and tax planning is imperative at Ferguson White to ensure the integrity of the financial data of every one of our clients.

The foundation of any transaction is the cash flow and profits generated by a business. The integrity of this information is paramount for the success of any transaction. Ron’s ability to forensically dissect a clients financial information ensuring the accuracy of that information is paramount to our success at Ferguson White and completing transactions. There is no point presenting multiple offers to a client only to have those offers change because a buyer’s financial diligence partner uncovers flaws in our clients’ accounting systems. Ron’s ability to ensure the integrity of clients’ financial information makes certain our clients deals get closed the first time.
